Montreal Concert Trip - Day 2: Montreal & Matt Maeson
Day 2
I woke up really early today and walked from my hotel in Centre-Ville Ouest to Cafe Olimpico in Veuix Montreal. It was supposed to be a 45 minutes walk, however I took my time with sightseeing and ending up taking almost double that.
After I got my cappuccino, I went down to Veuix Port, where I did some shopping at the little pop-up booths. There was also a fall fair in the city while I was there so I got to see that, but it wasn't open when I was passing by.
After exploring a bit more, I walked back into the downtown area to find a tattoo shop. I walked into Anger Ink and got a little peace sign tattoo on my ankle. After that I ordered an Uber over to the museum. I was at Musee de l'Holocauste, Montreal for quite a long time. I've always been fascinated by history, and World War Two has always peaked my interest in a way other parts of history hasn't been able. I spent a lot of time reading and learning, as well as viewing all of the objects on display, considering the people that may have once held on to them. While I can't say I made it through without shedding a tear or two, it was an experience that I'm grateful to have.
After I finished up at the museum, I took an Uber back to my hotel to get ready for the concert. I had sushi for dinner and then headed to Le Theatre Beanfield to see Matt Maeson. The Matt Maeson concert was incredible! I got there early since I had general admission tickets, and I was able to get super close to the front! I was also beside a super awesome group of people around my age who ended up chatting with me for a lot of the night and even waited for my Uber with me.
I went back to the hotel after that and packed everything up for my flight tomorrow. I love Montreal.
