Backstage Pass to Tennessee - Day 8: Home Time?

Day 8

Today, We drove back to Newark, NJ, so I can fly back home. Aly brought me to the airport and it was so difficult saying goodbye. (I might have cried a bit.)

Once I was through security, I boarded the plane. The original plan was to fly from Newark, NJ, to Washington, DC, then Toronto, ON, before finally returning to Winnipeg, MB. However, due to weather, my flight to Washington was delayed by a few hours so I ended up missing my connecting flight to Toronto.

Once I was in Washington, United Airlines rebooked my ticket immediately. Unfortunately, the next flight they could get me on isn't until tomorrow. Also, since I'm under 18, they've put me into their unaccompanied minor program so I'm not allowed to leave the airport. Instead of a hotel I now get a cot in a random airport side-room.

My flight for tomorrow is to Montreal, QC before going to Winnipeg. The flight departs at 0600 tomorrow so I have to be up pretty early; luckily, I don't think I'll have any issues staying awake in this room.
